Acupuncture Support for Mothers
Homework, the school run, after school activities, healthy suppers, GCSEs, A levels, laundry… the list goes on and that is before you have even take into account the demands on your time from work colleagues, partners and friends. From working with my patients, and also having two children of my own, I realise the demands of motherhood can leave you struggling to juggle all life throws at you.
All stages of motherhood are a delight, but all come with their own particular challenges – from the sleepless nights with a toddler to the sleepless nights waiting for your teenager to come home. These challenges change over time, but they are still challenges. All too often mothers put themselves at the bottom of their own to do list, putting the needs of their family before their own.

Putting yourself last may result in you not looking after yourself as well as you could, for example, you may have a poor diet or be getting insufficient sleep. In Traditional Chinese Medicine these factors can create an imbalance in the body which over time may result in symptoms such as:
- anxiety
- insomnia
- tiredness
- digestive disorders
- depression
- musculo skeletal issues
- stress
- headaches
- migraine
It can be helpful to take some time out, to review your lifestyle and diet, and have someone look after you for a change.
